Privacy Policy
WellWorth Royalties (“WellWorth,” “we,” “us”) gives free estimates to owners of oil and gas royalty interests and may offer to buy those interests. This policy explains what information we collect on wellworthroyalties.com and through our messages, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- What you give us: your name, email, mobile phone number, state, county, the company that pays your royalty, your average monthly check, and anything you send us, such as photos of your royalty statement, check stubs, division orders or tax forms.
- For a purchase you choose to make: your mailing address, identity documents and the documents needed to sign, notarize and record a deed and to pay you.
- Messages: the content of the text messages (SMS and WhatsApp), emails and calls you exchange with us, and whether you agreed to receive text messages, including when you agreed and the wording you agreed to.
- Automatically: your IP address, browser and device information, the page that brought you to our site and the ad you clicked (for example, UTM parameters), and cookies, including Meta (Facebook) advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To prepare your free estimate and to contact you about your request by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To identify your well and verify ownership using public production and county records.
- If you decide to sell, to prepare, sign, notarize and record the documents and to send your payment.
- To keep records required by law and to protect against fraud.
- To measure how well our ads work. We use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API, which may send Meta your browsing events and a one-way encrypted (hashed) form of your email and phone number so Meta can tell us which ads led to requests.
Text messages (SMS and WhatsApp)
If you check the box to receive text messages, we will text you about your estimate request, for example to ask for a photo of your royalty statement, to confirm we received it, to share your estimate and to answer your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. Consent to receive text messages is not required to get an estimate. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.
Who we share information with
- Service providers that work for us under confidentiality obligations: website hosting and storage (Cloudflare), messaging (Twilio, Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform), email, electronic signature and remote online notarization, and title research.
- County offices and the paying oil company, only when you sell, to record the deed and transfer the royalty payments.
- When required by law, to respond to legal process or to protect rights and safety.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of our business, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your request is open and afterwards as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax and record-keeping requirements. Deed and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Security
Access to your information is limited to the people who work on your request, and our systems use encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them.
- Email: reply to any email and ask us to stop, or write to us at the address below.
- Access, correction or deletion: email us and we will respond within 30 days, subject to what the law requires us to keep.
- Advertising cookies: you can block cookies in your browser and manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes to how we use your mobile number will not apply to you without your consent.
